CONTINUITY OF FUNDING

Despite our best efforts, it is likely that ARKS will become dependant on a certain degree of funding as the years go by. We need, therefore, to try and tie in donors for the duration of the orphan epidemic.

  • We try to have represented on our ARK committees local businesses / corporates as they are tied to the community and are more likely to continue donating if they help control the project (besides the skills they possess). We will also encourage their staff to take an active interest as volunteers (tutors / coaches / cooks etc) at the resource centres.
  • We will give maximal on-line feedback of activities and finances at each ARK.
  • Where a local business is unavailable or unable to help, we will get national or international corporate sponsorship of a project and try to tie them to it by involving them in management and giving very active feed back.
  • We will twin each ARK with a privileged foreign high school.

There are many other ways in which you can help.
