Things on the web worth taking note of
- The Big Little Caravan of Joy: Click here to see photographs (set to music) shot during July 2009 by a visiting volunteer, Sarina Condello. She will be returning to Noah annually as she teaches our children dance, movement, theatre and circus performance. At the same time she generates love, laughter and joy! It was an amazing 4 week programme that trained our volunteers in some of the techniques Sarina uses.
- Documentary: Click here to see excerpts from a documentary filmed for the UK’s Channel 4. The idea was that the children were trained in how to use the camera and then filmed their own lives. The footage was part of a 6 part series that showed 5 minutes in the lives of children around the globe. It was a Save the Children initiative that Noah participated in to highlight the circumstances of children in South Africa.
- Clamber Club: This is one of our closest partners. Clamber Club trains child minders from Noah centers in the community to run stimulating exercise classes for large groups of children. These classes promote perceptual motor skills and a love of movement. Click here to visit their website.
- Global Giving: Supports Noah through making it possible for international donors to use their website to donate to Noah. The website also publicises special events and mobilises the global community to contribute to philanthropic efforts. Click Global Giving to visit their website.
- Rockefeller Brothers Fund: They have released interesting reports on evaluating grantmaking for orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa. Click here to visit their site and read the reports.
